Tandridge Parish Council

Welcome to Tandridge Parish Council's website.

Tandridge is a small rural parish in East Surrey approximately six miles long and rarely more than one mile wide.

The majority of the Parish of Tandridge follows Tandridge Lane.

It begins from Barrow Green Road which is just over the A25 and continues through the area known as "Tandridge Village" past St Peter’s Church, with its famous yew tree, down past the forge and the Barley Mow public house to St Peter’s C of E Infant School. The Parish then runs the length of Tandridge Lane including the houses around Ardenrun and the small ‘hamlets’ such as Chathill and Crowhurst Lane End until it terminates at the Red Barn.

The parish lies within the Green Belt and the majority of the parish is still used for agriculture.

Our aim as a Parish Council is to increase our links with the local community and keep parishioners informed about the work of the Parish Council. If you cannot find the information you are looking for please contact the Clerk Clare Crouch on 01342 604 338 or email tandridgepc@hotmail.co.uk

The Parish Council generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month, with the exception of August when there is no Parish Council meeting. For other meetings or changes to scheduled meetings please see the Calendar.

  • Reviewing and commenting on planning applications within the parish
  • Liaising with relevant authorities regarding infrastructure / policing/ community issues to represent your views and get the best advantage for the local area
  • Engaging with all interested parties regarding current and future shape of life in the local area

St Mary's Primary - Admission Policy Consultation

St Mary's Primary School

November 2022
Admissions Policy at St Marys

St Mary's Primary are consulting on Admissions arrangements for September 2024. Consultation will take place for six weeks between 21st October and 2ndDecember 2022.

In accordance with the statutory requirements, the admission arrangements which the Governing Body propose to publish for admissions from September 2024 onwards are attached.

The proposed change is highlighted.

The rationale for this is that with the current category No 4 giving preference to applicants with siblings in the school applicants with no siblings have to go into category 5.

This means that applicants living in Old Oxted, where there is no sensible means of public transport often do not get in as places go to pupils in Limpsfied, who live nearer as the crow flies.

Please refer to the ecclesiastical parish maps for further clarification
